What you are agreeing to
- No multi-year contracts. Sembr is month-to-month or annual, and annual is a discount rather than a commitment.
- Cancel anytime, yourself, in the dashboard. No retention call, no exit interview.
- No exit fees. Export everything free, whenever you want, as JSON, CSV or SQL.
- Your renewal price is the price you signed up at. We do not quietly raise prices on existing customers, and any change is versioned and announced.
- Liability is capped at the fees you paid in the previous twelve months.
- Acceptable use: no spam, no abusive content, and nothing that uses Sembr to violate someone else's rights.
What we commit to
- Uptime target of 99.9% for the application. Current and historical status is published at status.sembr.co, including the incidents we would rather you did not see.
- Support response within one business day on Essential, four business hours on Growth. Essential and Growth are the plans you can buy today. If you have read about a named enterprise tier somewhere, that was our error and this line is the correct one.
- Thirty days' notice before we add or change a subprocessor, listed at /subprocessors.
- Seventy-two hours to tell you about a confirmed breach affecting your data.
Who Sembr is for
Sembr is built for organizations whose members are adults. By using Sembr you confirm that your members are 18 or older, and that you will not store sensitive personal information about them in Sembr: government identification numbers, health or financial-account details, biometric data, precise geolocation, or information about race, religion or union membership.
If your organization needs to hold information like that, talk to us before you start. That is a real offer rather than a brush-off. Some organizations genuinely need to, and the honest answer is that Sembr is not built for it yet.
